E-KTP Will Soon Be Realized, Here's How To Have It
The Ministry of Home Affairs will realize a digital KTP, this is to minimize the risk of losing important documents. Because with a digital KTP, population documents no longer need to be printed or stored in a wallet. So how to make a digital KTP and also what requirements must be met?
As stated by Zudan Arif Fakrulloh as Director General of Dukcapil Kemendragi in the video he uploaded, the earliest requirement for being able to have a digital KTP is to have a cellphone, not only having a cellphone, other requirements must also be met by an area, namely the area must have an internet network and the community is not gaptek (stuttering technology). Then what about residents who do not have a cellphone? For residents who do not have a cellphone also do not need to worry, according to Zudan they will still be served. Later their e-KTP will be printed physically.
"For this reason, Dukcapil continues to provide services for making this digital identity in stages. Those who don't have a cellphone, there is no network, we still serve with physical forms and manual services like now," Zudan said in a video uploaded on his personal Youtube channel, Friday (7/1).
Zudan emphasized that digital ID cards will be carried out in stages for residents who do not have cellphones or internet networks. In other words, Dukcapil will continue to serve all people in Indonesia without exception.
"Dukcapil continues to provide digital identity making services in stages. Those who do not have a cellphone, no network, we still serve with physical forms and manual services like now," Zudan added.
How to make a digital KTP
Reporting from CNN Indonesia, the way to make a digital KTP is as follows:
- Download the Digital Identity application (PPID Kemendagri) on your phone. While the new application is available for Android users.
- Input the Population Identification Number (NIK), email address, and cellphone number.
- Verify data through face recognition or face verification
- The applicant then verifies the email
- Once successful, return to the ID application menu and login
- The digital KTP is available on the main menu, along with the Kartu Keluarga (KK), NPWP, Vehicle Ownership, Badan Kepegawaian Nasional (BKN) data, and Covid-19 vaccination card.
How to Apply digital KTP
In order to maximize digital KTP services, Dukcapil will implement a double track system service. Both are digital services and manual physical services. Not only that, the Ministry also released the "Digital Identity" application. The application is a representation of a resident in an application attached to a person, who is registered as a resident, also to ensure that the identity is the original identity of the person concerned or not.
Based on the video from the Director General of Dukcapil Kemendagri, here are the procedures for applying digital identity:
- To be able to use a digital identity, after installing the application, residents must register by entering their NIK, e-mail address and cellphone number.
- Then data verification will be carried out through face recognition
- After that, e-mail verification is carried out so that you can log in to the application.
The menu available in the application is as follows:
- Family data or Kartu Keluarga (KK)
- Population documents such as digital KTP cards
- Other documents that are the result of NIK integration such as NPWP, COVID-19 vaccine, vehicle ownership to BKN.
The application can also display digital QR codes, biodata and history of activities carried out. Thus, the procedure for making a digital KTP can be done easily.
"Digital identity for residents will make identity making easier, faster, cheaper, more efficient," Zudan said.
